Mosiah sends 16 of their strong men up to the land of Lehi-Nephi, to find out what happened to Zeniff's colony. They find them and help them escape the Lamanites, leading them back to Zarahemla.

The army of Lamanites chasing the Nephites becomes lost in the wilderness and stumbles upon Alma and his people. The Lamanites bring them into bondage.

Mosiah 6:5
And king Benjamin lived three years and he died.

Alma and his people are brought to Zarahemla by the hand of God. They are receive by King Mosiah with joy. King Mosiah authorizes Alma to organize the Church of God among all the people.

Alma's son and the sons of King Mosiah are rebellious and are counted among the unbelievers.

Alma the Younger and the 4 sons of Mosiah are visited by an angel and are converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now the sons of Mosiah were numbered among the unbelievers; and also one of the sons of Alma was numbered among them, he being called Alma, after his father; nevertheless, he became a very wicked and an idolatrous man. And he was a man of many words, and did speak much flattery to the people; therefore he led many of the people to do after the manner of his iniquities ... as they were going about rebelling against God, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto them ...

Helaman is born. There is not way to know Helaman's age. For this estimate I made Helaman about the same age as Captain Moroni.

The sons of Mosiah leave the land of Zarahemla and journey to the Lamanite lands to preach to the Lamanites. Mosiah confers the sacred records upon Alma the Younger and begins the process of passing on the kingdom as well. Finding no heir willing to be king, Mosiah makes preparations for a Nephite democracy; The Reign Of the Judges.

And now, as I said unto you, that after king Mosiah had done these things, he took the plates of a brass, and all the things which he had kept, and conferred them upon Alma, who was the son of Alma; yea, all the records, and also the interpreters, and conferred them upon him...

The Reign of the Judges commences. Alma the Younger is the first chief judge. Alma and King Mosiah die.

... and Alma was the first and chief judge. And now it came to pass that his father died, being eighty and two years old ... And it came to pass that Mosiah died also, in the thirty and third year of his reign, being sixty and three years old; making in the whole, five hundred and nine years from the time Lehi left Jerusalem.

Alma resigns as Chief Judge and journeys among the cities of the Nephites, bringing order to the church.

And it came to pass in the commencement of the ninth year, Alma saw the wickedness of the church, and ... he retained the office of high priest unto himself; but he delivered the judgment-seat unto Nephihah.

Alma returns home to Zarahemla with Amulek. Alma left at the beginning of RJ 8 and returned at the end of RJ 9 so he was gone for two years.

Alma ... took Amulek and came over to the land of Zarahemla, and took him to his own house ... And thus ended the tenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi

Korihor, the antichrist, teaches that there is no God. He faces Alma, demands a sign from heaven, and is struck dumb.

Alma, Ammon, Aaron, Omner, Amulek, Zeezrom, Shiblon and Corianton go on a mission to the Zoramites.

Alma speaks to each of his sons and gives them his last exhortations. He gives the sacred records to Helaman and commands him to keep a record upon the plates. Alma the Younger had the plates for 17 years.

Alma departs out of the land is is never heard from more. It is believed that his was taken up by the Lord.

At the end of this year the Lamanites march on the city of Ammonihah. This is the beginning of the War of Amalickiah. Since it is so close to the next year we will begin counting from the the 20th year of the reign of the judges.

And it came to pass in the nineteenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, that Alma came unto his son Helaman ...

And now it came to pass in the eleventh month of the nineteenth year, on the tenth day of the month, the armies of the Lamanites where seen ...

Nephihah dies and his son, Pahoran, is appointed to fill the judgment-seat. Nephihah served as chief judge for 11 years.

Moroni receives Helaman's epistle telling of the 2000 stripling warriors. Moroni then writes to Pahoran and discovers that king-men have taken over the government. He takes an army into Zarahemla and cleanses the city, restoring Pahoran to the judgment-seat.

And now it came to pass in the commencement of the thirtieth year of the reign of the judges ... Moroni received an epistle from Helaman ...

Teancum steals into the Lamanites stronghold and executes Ammoron in his sleep. Teancum is caught and killed by the Lamanites. Moroni drives the Lamanites from the Nephite lands and the war ends.

Nephi is born to Helaman II. Another guess based on when he became chief judge. Presumably, because of the war, couples were marrying and having children young.

Lamanites attack. The Lamanite commander, Coriantumr, leads his army straight into Zarahemla and takes the city. Pacumeni is killed by Coriantumr. The Lamanites make a drive for Bountiful and the Land Northward but are stopped by Moronihah's army.

Helaman II dies. His son Nephi is the next chief judge and the guardian of the sacred records. The people have become rich and prideful.

Nephi, the son of Helaman, resigns as chief judge. He and his brother, Lehi, devote themselves to preaching. Cezoram becomes chief judge.
