The Nephites have waxed strong in wickedness and abominations and do not believe that there will be any more signs or wonders given. The Gadianton Robbers have taken such a toll on the people that all the remaining Lamanites and Nephites join together and a war against the Gadiantons commences in this year.

The war against the Gadianton Robbers has been going on for 7 years. The governor of the land, Lachoneus, receives an epistle from Giddianhi, the robber, advising him to surrender.

All the Nephites gather to one place under the direction of Gidgiddoni. They have 7 years worth of provisions.

The Gadianton Robbers have come down and tried to take possession of the deserted cities. They found that they can not survive with out a population to plunder and decide to attack the gathered Nephites. They lose the battle and are driven back to the mountains.

The Gadianton Robbers are defeated. After a failed siege on the Nephites, the Gadiantons tried to march north, but were surrounded and utterly destroyed by the Nephites.

Nephi III dies. He was the son of Nephi II, who was a disciple of Christ and the son of Nephi, who was the son of Helaman. The records are now passed to Amos, the son of Nephi III.

They begin to separate them selves from the common people by wearing costly apparel, pearls, and fine things of the world. The trend ends the law of consecration that has been practiced for 167 years.

The people have divided up into classes. The Church of Christ is splintered and priest-craft has been introduced. One of the prominent churches persecutes the true Church of Christ and the 3 Nephites.
