Nephi, the son of Helaman departs out of the land and is not seen again.

Jesus Christ is born in Bethlehem. The believers in Zarahemla were about to be killed, but the sign of the the birth of Christ is given and they are saved.

3 Nephi 1:15
for behold, at the going down of the sun there was no darkness; and the people began to be astonished because there was no darkness when the night came.

The Nephites have waxed strong in wickedness and abominations and do not believe that there will be any more signs or wonders given. The Gadianton Robbers have taken such a toll on the people that all the remaining Lamanites and Nephites join together and a war against the Gadiantons commences in this year.

an hundred years had passed away since the days of Mosiah, who was king over the people of the Nephites. And six hundred and nine years had passed away since Lehi left Jerusalem. And nine years had passed away from the time when the sign was given,...

The war against the Gadianton Robbers has been going on for 7 years. The governor of the land, Lachoneus, receives an epistle from Giddianhi, the robber, advising him to surrender.

All the Nephites gather to one place under the direction of Gidgiddoni. They have 7 years worth of provisions.

The Gadianton Robbers have come down and tried to take possession of the deserted cities. They found that they can not survive with out a population to plunder and decide to attack the gathered Nephites. They lose the battle and are driven back to the mountains.

The Gadianton Robbers are defeated. After a failed siege on the Nephites, the Gadiantons tried to march north, but were surrounded and utterly destroyed by the Nephites.

The Nephites return to their lands. There is peace and prosperity.


30 AD (LLJ 630) (RJ 121) Jesus=30 platesNephi II

Lachoneus is murdered on the judgment seat. Mosiah's established government, the Reign of the Judges, is destroyed by secret combinations. The people divide into family tribes and have no common government.

Jesus Christ descends from heaven and ministers to the people.

All of the disciples of Jesus (except for the 3) have gone to the paradise of God. Nephi III is now keeping the records.

Nephi III dies. He was the son of Nephi II, who was a disciple of Christ and the son of Nephi, who was the son of Helaman. The records are now passed to Amos, the son of Nephi III.

Amos dies. The records are kept by his son, Amos.

A small part of the people have revolted form the church. They call themselves Lamanites.

For the first time since the ministry of Christ, there begins to be people who are lifted up in pride. They begin to separate them selves from the common people by wearing costly apparel, pearls, and fine things of the world. The trend ends the law of consecration that has been practiced for 167 years.

The people have divided up into classes. The Church of Christ is splintered and priest-craft has been introduced. One of the prominent churches persecutes the true Church of Christ and the 3 Nephites.

4 Nephi 1:27

There is a great division among the people. They separate into Nephites and Lamanites again. The Lamanites wilfully rebel against the gospel of Christ, and teach their children that they should not believe.

The wicked population has grown stronger than the righteous population.

4 Nephi 1:39

Secret oaths and combinations of Gadianton are reintroduced into the wicked population. The Nephites begin to become prideful and vain.

Both the Lamanites and the Nephites are wicked, one like unto another. The robbers of Gadianton are spread over all the land.

4 Nephi 1:45

Amos II dies. His brother Ammaron takes the records.

320 AD (LLJ 920) Mormon=9 platesThe Hill Shim

Ammaron hides the sacred records in the hill Shim. They are hidden up unto the Lord with the intent that they come forth according to the promises of the Lord.

4 Nephi 1:48-49


321 AD (LLJ 921) Mormon=10 platesThe Hill Shim

Ammaron tells Mormon about the sacred records. He commands Mormon to wait until the age of 24 and then to take the plates of Nephi and add his record to them.

A war between the Nephites and the Lamanites begins.

Mormon's family moves from the Land northward to Zarahemla. The land of Zarahemla is covered with building and the people are as numerous as the sands of the sea.

The 3 Nephites depart from the land. Spiritual gifts and the Gift of the Holy Ghost are lost from among the people.

Mormon is visited by the Savior. He tries to preach to the people but his mouth is shut and he is forbidden to preach.

Mormon is made the leader of the Nephite armies.

The Nephites and Lamanites are fully engaged in battle. The Lamanites have a King and all the Nephites have been driven to the land northward.

Mormon retrieves the plates and makes a his record on them.

The Nephites are retreating before the Lamanites.

Mormon 2:17


349 AD (LLJ 949) Mormon=35, Land War=24 platesMormon

The Nephites and Lamanites sign a treaty. The Nephites inherit the Land Northward and the Lamanites inherit the Land Southward.

Mormon 2:28


360 AD (LLJ 960) Mormon=46, Extermination War=0 platesMormon

The Lamanites begin attacking the Nephites again. This final war will continue until the Nephites are utterly destroyed.
